Post 911 Oil Change.......

When following the DVD I noticed that if remove the oil filter with the oil tank drain plug removed, the oil still trapped in the filter will also drain out as I loosen the filter!

Good point!

If you leave the oil tank drain plug off as you take off the oil filter the oil still in the filter could drain out the oil tank.

Post More on oil change...

The most important thing I learned when doing my oil change is in what type of pan you're draining into.

I knew there was a ton of oil that was going to come out, so I made sure to get a pan that would hold it. My mistake was that I didn't think about how fast it would be draining and whether my pan would be able to handle it.

Unfourtuneately, it could not, and I had more than half of my oil on the garage floor... :( I've since switched to an open top drain pan and will transfer the oil to a different container for disposal.

Hey Rob.............you're right, they should call these cars "oil" cooled instead of "air" cooled! I got my 5 gallon oil can at Harbor Freight for less than 20 bucks.
